EXHIBITOR APPLICATION DEADLINE EXTENDED - APRIL 30
UPDATE - 3/18/2020
We are writing today to inform both potential exhibitors and the general public that we are moving forward with the 2020 San Francisco Art Book Fair, currently scheduled for July 17–19.
Given that recent developments with COVID-19 have led to the unfortunate cancellation of the LA Art Book Fair (our hearts go out to Printed Matter and all the exhibitors affected), we have decided to extend our application period through April.
We will reevaluate our plans for the fair in May when we hope to have a better understanding of the situation. We appreciate your patience and understanding. We will remain vigilant and consider the health and safety of our exhibitors and attendees above all else.
Art book publishers and artists rely on these fairs as a source of community and income, and we believe it is our duty to keep this fair going as long as possible.
The new deadline is April 30. As always there is no cost to apply.
If you've already submitted your application, thank you! You'll be hearing from us in May. All applications are reviewed by a committee. Acceptance is not guaranteed due to limited space. If you have any questions about the application process please email firstname.lastname@example.org.

The SF Art Book Fair is an annual multi-day festival of artists' publications. The event is FREE and OPEN to the public and features artists’ books, art catalogs, monographs, periodicals, zines, printed ephemera, and artists' multiples. These works are presented by over 100 independent publishers, antiquarian dealers, artists, collectors, and enthusiasts. Over the weekend, the fair hosts a diverse range of talks, discussions, book launches, on and off-site special projects, exhibitions and signings.
The mission of the fair is to foster the unique art publishing community of the Bay Area while providing a platform for national and international publishers to exhibit their work to a new audience.
Last year we welcomed 115 exhibitors and over 12,000 visitors. In our 5th year, we aim to reach an even larger audience and create an event that continues to showcase some of the most interesting publishers and booksellers in the world.
The SF Art Book Fair is held at Minnesota Street Project. The project’s landmark location, 1275 Minnesota Street, houses 10 galleries, a not-for-profit, temporary exhibitions spaces, media room, and a restaurant.
